Hello and welcome to Brian and Bobby Speak! To give you the reader a little insight into this blog let us give you a little background on how and why we are even doing these writings. Brian and I met a few years back through our Nurse Practitioner at PENN Presbyterian Hospital’s Cystic Fibrosis clinic.  You see, we both have a genetic illness called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). You can read more about it here. She thought it might be a good idea if we met each other through email. The thing about CF is that due to the nature of the disease people with CF shouldn’t hang around each other because of different bacteria that each individual carries. So, to make a long story longer, we started emailing and an important and exceptional friendship has ensued even though we have never met in person. Over the past six months or so we started writing letters about thoughts on Time, Spirituality, Life, Death, and advice to one another about what we deal with on a daily basis. Eventually we thought that it would be interesting to post them to a blog and see what the world thought of them. Please feel free to comment and add to the topics we talk about. And if you have questions for us personally we may or may not respond but we’ll definitely listen. We’re going to start posting our most recent letters first and “back logging” the past emails so you can read all of them if you so desire. We hope that you can find something in here that speaks to you whether you’re a professional athlete, artist, CEO, a person with another illness or just interested in what we’re laying down. It just so happens we have CF, but it’s not a prerequisite to relate to what we talk about. So, enjoy and we’ll see you every week!
