Robert Wolter to Brian

1/26/05

hey brian,

how’s it going? hows music and things in the new year?

things are pretty good for me, although i got sick the first week of january and had to go into the hospital to get IV meds. i’m still on them, and i think i have another week or so left. its been kind of hard money-wise since i’m in between jobs right now and i just started working for my dad. how do you manage to stay alright financially when you get sick? it’s something that i don’t quite have the hang of yet. music-wise i’m pretty busy and have a bunch of cool shows coming up.

i’m playing this show on february 9th at the rotunda w/the Weeds that should be really fun. it’s a benefit for israeli-palestinian peace talks. Mirah is also playing and so is a klezmer band. my other bands are doing good. anyways, hope your doing good and i’ll talk to u soon.

do you have any shows coming up?

Brian McTear to me

1/26/05

Hey Bob!

Sorry to hear you got sick. Ugh.

I have been really lucky, for the most part, averting getting sick over the past few years. My lungs are generally in pretty good shape, though I do have minor pulmonary issues from time to time (psuedomonis, a little blood here and there…). I do consider myself lucky. My digestion is a bit more difficult to deal with (you win some, you lose some….).

Please remind me as that show at the Rotunda gets closer. I would love to come out. Last I heard, Mirah had moved away from Philadelphia. Is she around again?

I don’t have any shows scheduled, though I might play at South by Southwest in Austin. Otherwise, I am working on my next record. I am very excited about that.

Really good to hear from you! Keep me posted as that show gets closer.
