BOBBY WOLTER: March 18th, 1981 – August 22, 2009
It is terrible grief that I must announce the passing of my dear friend, Bobby. Last night, shortly after midnight, Bobby experienced a massive hemoptysis in his lung that killed him. I am grateful to have been notified by his father, Kurt this morning at 11:30 am.
It goes without saying that I will miss Bobby forever, and that I am so deeply grateful for our unique friendship and to have been able to write this blog with him.
My deepest sympathies go to his family, his best friend, Chris, who helped make this blog possible, and everyone and anyone that Bobby knew and loved. Let us never forget this truly wonderful man!

NEW CF DRUG TO ENTER PHASE 3 CLINICAL TRIALS!

This is exciting! If this therapy works and gets approved it could have MAJOR implications for people living with CF. Very exciting, HOPEFUL implications! It goes along with the New Yorker article.

The treatments for CF and how they can affect treatments for other diseases are endlessly fascinating. The New Yorker recently had an article about this subject and I read it when it first came out. Every one I know has been mentioning it to me so I thought I’d post it here in case anyone missed it.

Hello All!
Somehow between insane schedules, trips to NYC, hospital stays and the rainy weather we’ve managed to post all of our letters so far! 84 in total, and more to come, as we will be updating and writing back and forth, as is the spirit of this blog.
On another note, we’re constantly trying to make this site as user-friendly and sensible as can be, so it is constantly a work in progress. That being said, my recommendation for reading the letters is to go through the archives and work your way to the most current month. Any suggestions and advice is more than welcome.

So, we’ve finally posted the first round of letters for the world to see! We’ve numbered the letters and they are chronological in nature. For instance the earliest letter posted right now is from February and is labeled # 32. Feel free to start reading from the beginning or you can browse by topics that are discussed. We recommend you start from the earliest posts and read in order. It will make more sense that way. There are more letters to come and we hope to have a new entry every week.
